Matt “Zills” Gregory co-owns and leads Asylum Recording Studios, a Dubuque-based studio providing professional audio recording, music production, podcasting, live sound, and sound design services. With a strong ear for quality and a passion for helping artists and creators bring their ideas to life, Matt has built Asylum into more than a recording studio. It has become a creative training ground for emerging musical talent.

Over the years, Matt has mentored several young engineers through internships at Asylum Recording Studios, giving them hands-on experience in studio operations, live sound, recording, and production. Many of those interns have launched their own businesses or jump-started careers in the creative and audio industries. Through his work, Matt continues to support artists, performers, podcasters, and young professionals by creating space for sound, skill, and opportunity to grow.
