Join us as we travel in style from one location of the event to another! Enjoy animated visuals inspired by lichen, moss, mold, and algae growth projected across our environment as we walk through the city. Various forms of audience participation is always appreciated.

About the Artists:

Kara Edelstein

Kara is a budding author and former jeweler. She is drawn to pattern generation, color, and repetition in her work. She enjoys more traditional forms of art stemming from various cultures around the world. Previously she created a body of work centered around a Ukrainian egg dying technique known as Pysanki. Most recently she has been creating textile works incorporating spinning, weaving, and fabric dying.

Derek Kiesling

Derek is an arts technician and instructor at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. He enjoys taking a multidisciplinary approach to his work by combining science and mathematics, skilled trades techniques and craftsmanship, and a love of art and music into art projects.
